Frequently Asked Questions

What are stacked discounts?
Stacked discounts apply sequentially — each discount is applied to the price after the previous discount, not the original price. For example, 20% + 10% off $100 = $72, not $70.
Is 20% + 10% the same as 30% off?
No. Stacked discounts compound: 20% off $100 = $80, then 10% off $80 = $72. A single 30% off $100 = $70. The effective rate of 20%+10% is 28%, not 30%.
Can I add more than two discounts?
Yes. Add as many discount layers as needed. The calculator shows the price after each step and the final effective discount percentage.
Does it support fixed-amount discounts?
Currently only percentage-based discounts are supported. For a fixed amount off, simply subtract it from the original price manually.
